What made you decide to become a legal executive?
I’ve been interested in legal processes since I studied commercial law several years ago. I really enjoy jobs that involve helping people, and becoming a Legal Executive was a good way to combine that with my interest in law.
Where did you study and what was your favourite subject?
I studied at Victoria University in Wellington and then through the Open Polytechnic. I enjoyed all of my law papers but was especially interested in Litigation.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
Find something you love to do and give it your all.
Do you have any hobbies / interests outside of work?
I like spending time with my family and friends, quiz nights, hiking, and I’ve recently taken up running.
If I wasn’t a legal executive, I would be...
a teacher. I worked as a teacher overseas for 12 years and loved interacting with children and their families.
What do you love about your job?
I love being part of a supportive team and learning new things every day.
